Radio has been a staple of American culture for the last 100 years. From FDR's fireside chats to Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds," radio broadcasts have influenced us politically and socially. Some programs did both! In one episode of "Fibber McGee and Molly" from 1950, the beloved main characters, Fibber McGee and Molly, set out to poll their friends and neighbors for the 1950 Census. Here we are 70 years later, one week away from the 2020 Census deadline! We are thrilled to have teamed up with local improv group, Poster Child, to bring you a recreation of "Fibber McGee and Molly: Census Enumerator." Please enjoy this modern, socially distanced take on that 1950 broadcast, then head over to census.gov to make sure you and your family have been counted!
