Advanced Search can help you be more specific with your search. You can search for a word or phrase within a particular search category or use multiple categories to further narrow down your search results. For example, searching White in the People field will bring up any records associated with a member of the White family, without having to sift through black & white photographs. You can also search People and Creator records through Advanced Search. Phrase searching with quotes and use of wildcards (*) are available in Advanced Search.

ID Number:  Unique to each catalog record
Date:  DD/MM/YYYY or full 4 digit year (sorry, no ranges)
People:   Last Name, First Name format
Subjects:  Could be a phrase as well as a single word subject


Title:  Applicable to Television catalog: show title / series title / episode title (e.g., Nightline, Friends, etc.)
Program Type:  Applicable to Television catalog (e.g., News, Comedy, Sitcom, etc.)
Synopsis:  Applicable to Television catalog
Network/Station:  Applicable to Television catalog
Color/B&W:  Applicable to Television catalog


Item Name:  Applicable to Artifacts catalog: name of object or artifact (e.g., Photo, Magazine, etc.)
Description:  Applicable to Artifacts catalog
Search Terms:  Applicable to Artifacts catalog
Collection/Exhibit:  Applicable to Artifacts catalog
Group:  Applicable to Artifacts catalog (e.g., Show Titles, Characters, etc.)


Other:  Fields not listed above (general info)
