Steve Dahl, a disc jockey for WLUP Radio sponsored a promotion where fans bringing a disco record to a White Sox game got in for 98 cents. The event took place between games of a double header, where Dahl blew up disco records on the field, resulting in fans storming the field in almost a riot like fashion.
