Synopsis |
Set in Slidwell, Mississippi in 1954. The young nephew of a black preacher's family comes from Chicago for a summer visit. He immediately witnesses the racial tension between the preacher and the white people of the town. After the nephew makes an innocent compliment to a white storekeeper, the town turns against the preacher's family. |
